About Dr. Pakeman
Basil Pakeman, M.D., F.R.C.S. serves as the medical director of Manhattan Surgical Care. He specializes in cosmetic oculofacial surgery and Liposurgery. He is recognized as a Pioneer and innovator in minimally-invasive approaches in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Pakeman is double board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and by the Royal College of Surgeons (Canada). Dr. Pakeman is a fellow of The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a diplomat of The American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Pakeman received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. His post-doctoral training included an internship at St. Vincent Hospital in New York City, an Ophthalmology residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital and an Oculoplastic Surgery externship at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.
As a respected leader in the medical community, Dr. Pakeman lectures internationally and continues to publish scientific articles in major medical journals.
